Is this spider?

I am wondering if this snake has spider. We bought her in a collection sale. She is listed as just Piebald. I know she has more than that. What makes me think spider is she has a tendency to turn her head sideways. Also most spieds are mostly white like her. I appreciate any help :folded_hands:. Thanks

Isn’t Spider normally visual? It just looks like a pied

Not always.
Pied and spider can react and make what’s called a ‘white wedding’. Which is a pure white pied. Some other genes also can cause high white or all white pied as well.

@mooka928 if you wanted to have this one tested, that would be a great idea. I don’t know if you plan on breeding, but if you do and are concerned about the ethics of spider morphs then absolutely do so.
From the appearance and you saying they tend to sit with the head tilted, I would say spider is there. My spider combo gal does that all the time.
There’s something else there tho too. Possibly something pastel and or yellowbelly as well in there.

She’s pretty tho!

Ohhh fascinating. It seems that the gene that causes the visual mutation of spider (and the rest of the complex associated, such as woma) also causes hidden issues but the individual snake can also not look anything like a spider or anything else from the complex?
Still doing research. Have a small brain. Bear with me ps.

Thanks for the info! I do plan on breeding her, so I might breed her to prove if she has spider

Once you start layering on morphs it can be very difficult to pull them apart and ID.

Edit:
There’s a lot of controversy with spider so if you do breed her, be prepared for that. Other than that, good luck and make sure to check if the male has any spider complex morphs as well ahead of time :+1:
