My bearded dragon just laid her first clutch. I took them out of her tank and placed them in the incubator. I put them vermiculite (mixed according to instructions) lid over top with press and seal over that. I set the temperature to 29 Celsius with 2 ferenhight humidity readers inside that are reading 80 and 81 temp and 84% humidity. Vevor incubator. It’s been up and running for 3.5 hrs- 4pm on 7/16/26 how do I get the temperature higher and the humidity lower?
So for clarification, did you intentionally breed your Beardie?
Disclaimer- I’m no Beardie breeder so I don’t know the exact parameters for incubation, I can only suggest methods of how to adjust them.
You can try mixing a new batch of vermiculite with less water, or you can try adding mild ventilation to your current incubator container to lower humidity.
For future reference, if you are expecting eggs you’ll need to get your incubator set up and running at least a week in advance to adjust to the parameters you need before eggs arrive. That way you won’t have to rush or panic about that ![]()
If I’m not mistaken you should be able to increase the temperature of the incubator through its user controls? I don’t use Vevor incubators so I can’t give further guidance other than you could use room temperature water bottles to further insulate the egg container by placing them beside it.
So I did talk to someone who is an active breeder. I was going off of Google. He said humidity needs to be 100% and temps 85. I am at 83 temp and 90% humidity so progress!
