Keeping rodents near snakes

Has anyone found that their snakes go into “feeding mode” more easily when live rodents are kept in the same home? I’ve had a male BP lately go prey drive bonkers and become very bity towards anything that moves, and recently noticed my corn snake acting the same way. I started raising my own mice for feeders recently and while I never had issues when I kept rats, mice do smell more strongly.

The mice and snakes are in the same room, but on opposite sides. Or do you suppose it’s more seasonal?

Back when I had everything in the same room (a long time ago), I observed the behaviour you describe but it did not last, after being accustomed to it the snakes would only go in feed mode on feeding day.

I have my rodents in the same room. Never had an issue. I think they will get used to the smell
