Leachie baby toes stuck

I just noticed that my Leachie baby’s toes look stuck together. I used a small bin to soak it’s feet yesterday for about 20 minutes and still the same even when I used q tip. Does anyone know if this might be actually fused or still looks like just might be food or shed? Thanks

They look fused for sure. I have 2 crested geckos who’s toes are fused together

are they fine? any issues with climbing or walking?

It looks like there is some scarring on the tips of the last 3 toes. They’re greyish and missing claws with a slight shiny appearance.

Is there crusty bits on the toes? Stuck shed? Scabbing?

Did you just notice this toe issue? How long have you had this Leachie?

I have had the leachie for about a week now. I just noticed the issue but honesty looking back at initial photos I took it looks similar. I did not notice any food or skin coming off from the soak yesterday.

Photo I took about a day after I got the Leachie

It looks to me like they lost the tips of their toes at some point, most likely due to stuck shed building up and cutting off blood supply (no way of knowing for sure, but that’s quite common with many lizards).

So long as the gecko is able to move and climb normally and there’s so sign of swelling, discharge, or infection, it shouldn’t affect their quality of life. They’ll just be stuck with a slightly odd looking hand, and you’ll want to keep an eye on the area when they shed and help them clear away the shed skin if any gets stuck in the future.

@ooofios What a sweet looking little guy! I don’t intend to create an issue with this but if you got him from a breeder I would contact him/her and try to seek some insight on the cause of his little “webbed” foot……. Just so you will know if this is a birth issue or injury…

I did contact them and they said they had not noticed it before.

I would say as long as he is healthy and thriving otherwise, his precious little toes make him very unique. He is just cute as a button!

Update! I don’t exactly know how it worked but I alternated saunas and the next shed ended up doing the trick! Toes now separated and everything is good! I don’t know about the missing claws still tho…
