Leopard motleys and Dappled stripes

Love this conversation. Yes, it’s so time consuming (and I even have my son helping), but I do feel so driven to know them individually. It always makes it harder to let them go, so sometimes i resist a bit, but ultimately just have to adore each one. They are so unique—every one of them. Funny little stories we develop—this one struck their meal super early, that one always crawls into my hand when I open its bin, this one started sassy but is finally getting comfortable, that one is always glass surfing (i.e. gets held the most), this one puts on weight fast, that one looks at me as still as can be, that one has the funniest little quirk in her eyebrow markings, that one I swear is going to launch himself to the neighbor’s house he tries so hard to get away…etc, etc, etc. This is such a rewarding hobby!

Posted about 6 of these new Dappled babies for sale today.. I have more but I don’t want to post them all at once and holding back a few too. Unfortunately my incubator overheated the day before yesterday, so I don’t know if the second clutch of these is going to make it… that’s ok because I have a few from this clutch but still heartbreaking and especially for the other clutch I was anticipating of halo salmon snows… they were about a motnh and a half along.

Of course I will incubate until there is no debate but they were over 100 degrees when I noticed the problem and I don’t know how long they were too hot for… In conclusion I do NOT recommend the brand “Vevor” for those looking to buy a snake egg incubator.

Anyway here’s some new pics of ghost and hypo Dappled babies from this year…

Oh my goodness! What a tragedy!!! I’m so sorry for your loss! It’s such a huge kick in the gut when you’re excited for something and one small accident sends it South.

That is such a tough break! Not everything is wine and roses in the breeding world. I don’t think I could survive. The ordinary non breeding keeper has not a clue. Here’s hoping smoother sailing ahead! :folded_hands:

Oh no! I’m so sorry about the incubator malfunction. That’s such an awful thing to have happen. That makes me sick to hear about, but maybe you caught it in time. Fingers crossed:crossed_fingers:.

The babies you have are simply gorgeous!!

Caryl I think I might have caught in time. As the clutch that just hatched (a Specter project) was in there although it was very far along 7 of 8 did hatch. So fingers crossed incubating so their’s no debating lol
