Leopard motleys and Dappled stripes

Well that’s good news!

Aw, Jen. Sorry to hear about the kinked ones. I know that heartbreak too well. The original lavender issues helped drive me out of the hobby. And last season I had an entire terrible clutch. All kinked except one, and I’m still (stupidly?) struggling with him as a non-feeder a year later.

I think you’re on the right track with the outcrossing. The optical dollar signs may be appropriate later!

I have posted a few of the outcross males for sale. This is the one female from the outcross so she will be a keeper. They are growing so fast!

These are the survivors from the repeat pairing with the OG leopard motley pair. There were nine survivors. The little baby I was trying to save was unable to shed and I decided it was best to put him out of suffering. I still need to pop the other babies… The good news is that they are all great eaters and are thriving. Here are the funky motleys from the clutch.

Love this girl!

Here’s the 4 striped babies. I am in the weird position of hoping for a male heavy clutch, as I have decided to make males but not females available!

I am still waiting on two second clutches, one from each female. And really hoping all babies will be OK…

I think the funky motleys are my favorite!

Well 12 babies are out from Desdenova’s second clutch. The 4 stripes this time were more vanishing type but even they have weird, if not dappled, markings.
I’s not a huge sample number, but 27 babies in both clutches, out of which there were 9 stripes total.

Call me Desdenova—the Eternal Light!

Wow, those are beautiful. And the Stripes are definitely irregular!

Congrats on more healthy babies! They look wonderful, Jen. I love the first VS! The markings are pretty. I’m not seeing anything super unusual on these but they’re quite lovely.

Yes I feel like the vanishing won over the pattern this time around but I am super happy and ghost will be keeper male or female…

There’s one last second clutch of these that I didn’t have much hope for because they started having issues about a month in. These are from the original pairing, the other clutch had some kinked babies and I wasn’t exactly holding my breath. I will get a total amount and better pictures but there’s 4 out and looks like there will be at least one more.

Oh, I know. Even a 100% good clutch starts stinking before the laziest pip comes out.
