So little miss daisy is already being bred. I don’t know if any of you guys remember but i had tried to breed an orange low expression calico amazon named cheeto with a young silver/grey garden tiger male. Well they were doing fine together &cuddling even thought i saw a few locks until one day, I watched cheeto jump out of a hiding spot &chase the tiger male all around a 120 gallon cage &then wrestle him into the dirt hard. I was like something isnt roght, its usually the other way around. So i pulled cheeto out, gave it a probe &sure enough the snake i bought thati had been raising as female, was labeled as female, even i probed as female when i first got… swallowed the probe &was male!!! I think he was swelling up which led me to think “she” (he) was ovulating was gas that was building up in his system from eating possibly too big of meals or maybe too often or maybe it was just happening. He regurged a few so i stopped feeding him for a month &recently started feeding him slightly smaller meals which he has been keeping down. Anyways since he has been doing better i decided to give him a shot with my new HUGE tiger female, daisy. &since when i thought he was a female, i really wanted to pair him with a tiger to try to make some calico tigers. &now that i have a female tiger i can still potentially do that!!! I have witness at least 10 locks in the last week &3 successful copulations where he was definitely… in. Here’s looking forward to some beautiful snakes in the future.
Sorry for the rubbish haze on the glass, no matter what i do i cant get it to clear up. Hopefully you can see a little bit of whats going on. Skól!

Let’s hope these rad genes take hold, i can’t wait to see what comes out of this pairing. They are both beyond magnificent snakes. I’ve never actually seen another orange calico either… if seen some brownish, burnt orange, brick red &white (garden calico) but not a bright neon orange calico &he keeps getting more &more white speckling/spreading from his belly up every time he sheds. He is still young too, just turned three so it will be cool to see what he changes into as an adult!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend, it was 80 degrees on the oregon coast this weekend &perfect! Felt like june in march!!! I needed a little vacation from work so took the family to the coast.

She was 1,600 but I am planning on breeding her!!! She is a multiple gene combo, Tiger Phase and Calico Phase… also almost patternless but if she was patternless she wouldnt be a tiger!!!

I may have some sooner than later, i have another yellow tiger female that was bred to a red patternless male… she is due around the beginning of august i will keep you posted.

Do it, they are the most amazing species. They get a bad rep too, they are just kinda nervous animals. But once they warm up to you, they are the most rewarding snake to handle.
