Let Me See Your "Snoots"!

Really? That’s super cool. They’re very pretty, but I just thought they were kinda mean-ish.

I love her, she is so freaking gorgeous. I love that bright red on ATBs. She’s so bright and vibrant, I love it. Definitely one of my favourite ATB colours.

HOLY HECK ON A HANDCYCLE, she is GORGEOUS!!
I’m a sucker for red on a snek and she’s pure coral red! Great name choice! What a stunner!!

Thank you. Yes she is quite the looker, I can’t wait to rotate her into the breeding program here in a few years.

Gorgeous color on that boa. Would love to produce a BCI in that color someday. She looks very healthy and well taken care of.

Have you not seen scandinavian boa’s new sun dragons?

Uff Da.

Yes, I have seen very orange / red boas that have blood boa in them. But I want to produce that color without blood in them.

How are you planning to do that? Thank you for your comment, by the way. I try to take good care of all of my animals without overfeeding them. Or overbreeding them for that matter.

I hope to do the high red color by selective breeding for colors and adding my Northern Brazilian BCC and Southern Brazilian Amarali BCA to the mix.

The more peppery black pigment in the hets will turn red in albinos and sunglows.

Our haul from the Hillsboro Pacnw Reptile Expo:

A Venus Fly Trap from Eric at Urban Jungles &a CB Velociraptor from Coraline Croydon at HD Arboreals. Lilly chillin all pregnant in the background, we had enough tree boas for this year. Need the room for any babies that might come of these pairings

Glad I got to see all the homies, Don @ballornothing it was nice to meet you, we need to hang out &chat some more when I don’t have an excited kid running around trying to hold every snake in sight! We had a good time though. Can’t wait for next year, hopefully i’ll have a booth there by then.

Adorable little turtle snoot of some sort I found here in Mexico. I’m guessing just a very muddy box turtle based on the body shape? If anyone has any other ideas lemme know.

What an adorably muddy critter!

I am no turtle expert but any means, but I’m thinking this cutie may be a gopher tortoise. Looks just like the gopher tortoises I’ve seen, at any rate. Same shape, same facial look, same claws for burrowing. The very pronounced scales on its legs look like a gopher’s too, rather different from what I think of with box turtles. Maybe someone with more turtle knowledge will jump in with thoughts.
