I feel this. My family just moved into my late grandparents’ home which they built in the late 60s early 70s, and my animals are spaced out so weirdly in their room because there were a grand total of 2 outlets in a probably 10x15 foot room
Ugh, I’ve lived in several apartments like that. Often I’d only have a single outlet in my bedroom with no overhead light. Even with a power strip, there were never enough outlets just for normal everyday stuff. Fortunately I never had more than 1 reptile in those places.
My current place isn’t the worst. My main gripe is that there’s no overhead lighting in the bedrooms or living room, which necessitates dedicating outlets to lamps. But at least there are multiple outlets in places that more or less make sense. There are 4 outlets in each bedroom and…I think 6 in the living room. So with power strips, it’s workable. Even still, there are times when finding an outlet to plug in a phone or laptop charger can be a challenge. Three cheers for power strips! And three cheers for those USB wall adapters that have multiple USB slots in them, so you can charge multiple devices on a single outlet. And when all else fails, I’ve got a couple power banks I can use for anything that charges with a USB cord.

What?! I am investing !
That’s what they all say… (especially to non-reptile-loving family members!)
I got to hold a bearded dragon today… I gave it a kiss and it kissed me back.
What is that on her head?

This! Living in new england i hear it so often, then show them a picture of both and ask which it is without saying their names, and they always choose the watersnake, or they say they dont know
I know right! I hear it a lot as well down here in florida.
That but with rattlesnakes and gopher snakes when I lived back in New Mexico.
it’s sad- snakes get a bad rap because of some venomous snakes that aren’t even out to get you. for example people killing black racers, water snakes, etc. Super heartbreaking
LOVE the baby monitor!
And yeah, I have had that “water moccasin” conversation with way too many people. Used to happen a lot when I lived in Indiana. Down here in Coastal Mississippi, it very often IS a water moccasin - which is still seldom a problem.
Lol well, I do love pizza and great hair has always been beyond my skills. Love coffee but I’m pretty sure my blood-type is tea. A good warm sweater is a true delight. I appreciate days when I can wear them more since I live on the Gulf Coast and miss the cool weather. I’m definitely round. I guess that makes me an ApCarl. Or a Carpple.
