Lizards and snakes from the DRC, Mexico, Madagascar, and Papua New Guinea

I am planning to import wild lizards and snakes from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mexico, Madagascar, and Papua New Guinea. Can you recommend any species?

From Madagascar; Dumerils boas. The captive population is very narrow, genetically. We need new blood. Probably going to be difficult due to permit issues. Madagascar tree and ground boas, also to bolster the captive gene pool. Chameleons. Mad cats, mad hognose.
New Guinea; any species of python. Indonesia does not allow export of wild caught animals so you will need to find sources of captive bred. If your home locale allows it, there are a few species of venomous that do well in captivity, as well.
Mexico may be a tough nut to crack as they also have strict export rules. As far as I know.
Having access to new blood lines of many different species is helpful and sometimes needed but before you get too far please consider the thousands of captive bred and acclimated specimens that are already available.
Do you have the resources to deal with imports? Housing, quarantine, feeding and in most or all cases, vet assistance. Specialized food requirements.
Apologies if I’m throwing wrenches in your machine but there is a lot to consider if your going to import any animal.
Research, research, research.
Fyi, to import captive bred animals can take a lot of time and resources. Dozens of e mails, permit applications, shipping, vet exams, quarantine just to name a few hurdles. Even more complicated if your trying to import wild caught.
Again, please consider the thousands of captive animals for sale, just on MM alone.
P.S. I’m not blowing smoke here. I have several imports and the whole process can take months and a bucket of money. When/if the animals arrive then the work starts.
Please, consider captive born. They normally come with the voice of experience attached. If not, find another breeder.
Good luck.
