I’d be a lot less confuzzled on this one if it was from a male that had ever shown interest before, did a little checkup this morning and saw this

I would consider this an attempt made, but not a visual lock.

You may have caught them when they were getting ready. Unless the tails are crossed over I don’t mark that down as a visual lock, just a ?

Leo pastel pos het pied x special het pied, nothing special. This male has never done well for me before so sort of hoping this goes well

As all the above say, he is trying but not there.
Give him a bit longer. i often see that before a full lock
