Hi everyone! My name is Ailanys, and I’ve been keeping ball pythons and florida kingsnakes for a few years now. What started as a small personal passion has grown into something much bigger, and I’m now planning carefully for my first breeding projects while also working toward a long-term goal in both the industry and the academic side of the hobby.
I’m currently pursuing a degree in biology, and as part of that, I’ve been developing a focused project related to morph-linked developmental issues as my goal is to achieve a Ph.D in Genetics with a focus in herpetology. While I love florida kingsnakes, I’ve decided to take the first step in my career with ball pythons. I’m taking a scientific approach to a topic that’s been discussed in the community for a while, but not formally explored in detail. It’s something that touches on the way a certain morph interacts developmentally and may eventually tie into selective pairings, predictive outcomes, and long-term morph viability.
At this point, I’m looking to connect with an experienced breeder or mentor in or around the Homestead, Cutler Bay, or Kendall area. I’d love to find someone who’s been in the game a while, especially if you have experience with morphs that have known expression quirks, challenges, or developmental controversy. I’m hoping to learn more about strategic breeding, collection building, and the business side of things, and if someone’s open to it, I’d be happy to share more about my work in person or privately.
If you’re passionate about the genetics side of things, work with structurally sensitive morphs, or just enjoy long-term, thoughtful breeding projects, I’d really appreciate the chance to connect and learn from you. Feel free to message me!
To make this a bit more personal with what I own, here is my list of what I keep aside from other personal pets!:

Those that have previously worked closely with: Cinnamon, Super Cinnamon, Black Pastel Cinnamon, Black Pastel, or Super Black Pastel. I would love to reach out to you guys to gather data of temps, humidity, and healthy:deformed ratios of your clutches if you’re able to provide them!
