Looking For Opinions

Hello!

I recently purchased this beautiful pinstripe mocha citrus pastel female. I am on the fence about what I want to breed her with in September. I thought about black pastel or a recessive gene like clown but I wanted opinions on what others thought!

do you have males already or are you looking to buy a male instead?

I have the current males:

A) Enchi calico
B) Albino 100% Het pied
C) Super pastel yellow belly 100% het pied
D) disco yellow belly brite

I don’t think any of my current males work with her unless i bred the enchi calico in but I believe the calico wouldn’t show as bright with the pinstripe! I’m open to buying a male since I have until September before I’d want to breed her (she just laid at her last owner in December I believe)

The disco yb bright would look good with pinstripe. But if your looking for something different … do you like dark or light morphs? Recessive is good too. If you pair with a visual Piebald you could hold back and use one of your het piebald boys in the future pairings

The only issue I have with pairing with the disco YB brite is that they could throw 64 different combinations and that’s a little intimidating! I’m not sure I could differentiate between the various morphs since I’m a bit new to the breeding world! I was hoping for a single gene male or a single gene + recessive male to do a hold back with some of her babies!

One of my business partners prefers the yellows and bright colors but I prefer the darks like the pewters! I believe we will eventually get into black pastels (we talked about it the other day) but I wasn’t sure how it would look paired with her!

Black pastel will look fine if that’s where you want to go with it.
