Looking to Collect Data on Super Cinnamon Clutches — Breeder Input Appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on a long-term genetics and development research project focused on Cinnamon and Super Cinnamon ball pythons. I’m particularly interested in understanding the frequency and severity of physical deformities such as, spinal kinking and craniofacial anomalies, that appear in homozygous Cinnamon (Super Cinnamon) offspring.

To begin compiling data, I’m reaching out to experienced breeders who have paired:

  • Cinnamon × Cinnamon
  • Super Cinnamon × Cinnamon
  • Super Cinnamon × Super Cinnamon

If you’ve produced any of these pairings in the past and are open to sharing your results, I’d love to know:

  • How many eggs were in the clutch
  • How many were Super Cinnamon
  • Whether any deformities were present (kinking, duckbilling, etc.)
  • Incubation conditions (temps/humidity, if known)
  • Additional genes involved in the pairing
  • Hatchling survival rate
  • Year of the pairing

Even if you had zero deformities, that information is equally important.

The goal is to create a clearer picture of how often these issues occur and under what circumstances. This is not for publication at this time, just strictly data collection for internal research planning. Any identifying information you provide will be kept private unless you consent otherwise.

Feel free to comment here or message me privately. Thank you so much in advance for helping contribute to a more informed understanding of this morph. <3
