Maybe shed time?

Noticed his eyes are a little hazey today. I’ve only had this little boy for about a week but looks like it may be time for our first shed.

Is there anything y’all do special when yours are in shed?

Both of my colubrids (Arizona mountain kingsnake and Eastern rat snake) don’t need any extra humidity when shedding so I just leave them alone until they have a shed in there for me to clean up. Your kingsnake doesn’t need extra humidity either, so best to just leave them alone.

Key thing is to let them be. My black kingsnake specifically gets very defensive during his shed (including after his eyes clear). He wont eat and stresses easily. Water checks is all that needs to be done until you see the shed in the enclosure. Then offer food after he’s done. Most appreciate a good meal after a shed. Hard work after all.
