Gomez runs the castle. He’s always watching, always planning, at least according to my partner. I think he’s just waiting for mice. Although I gotta say, after working primarily with hognose for years, how present and aware MBKs are is slightly disconcerting. It’s worth it though, for the effect he has on my mother-in-law alone.

We have a Mexican Black Queensnake that does pretty much the same things. She is always the first one out being nosy when someone comes into the room!
