Meet Padmé! 🤍 (Moonglow Paradox)

Here she is!
Padmé, our Moonglow Paradox, born May 4th 2022 (so obviously needed a Star Wars name!)

She is truuuuuuly stunning @ghoulishcresties!:heart_eyes:

Those lavender tones are something special, and that speckling is going to look :100: as she grows! She is incredible!

And we LOOOOVE the name :two_hearts: as we are also big Star Wars fans.

(I also put this on the other post…) how is she settling in?

She is going to be an INCREDIBLE big girl! Congrats on such a beauty!

She’s doing well :white_heart:
She seems to like burrowing a lot in her substrate and also climbing her branches!
So strange how active she is, never realised how lazy royals were compared to boas!:black_heart:

My boas are far more active, especially if it’s been a while after they’ve ate. My BPs will maybe stick their head out occasionally, but my Sonoran Boas especially are always climbing. My Colombian will move around after 7days since a meal, but after eating will post up for a week or so and just poke his head out when he “hears” something lol.

Btw Padme is gorgeous! Congrats on your (first?) New boa! They are my favorites. She looks quite big for her age, but I know Morph Boas (mixed locality/sub species) are fast growers and a bit bigger usually than pure locality stuff. Gorgeous regardless

(Also, I recommend as a first time owner a bit slower feeding schedule than much info you’ll find, maybe check out Brian Boas YT channel as he has tons of experience and great, specific boa info. It’s usually easy to tell from behaviour and how often they pass urates etc a good feeding schedule tho. Just figured I’d throw that out there as I got mixed info when I first got a boa)

Well, now you need an anakin to go with padme, and a captain Rex to go with Anakin and a Ashoka to go with captain Rex! (Your welcome for the excuses to get new snakes and yes I am a Starwars nerd)

You should really get a male and name him Anakin.

Thankyou for all this!

We thought she was small for age

And she ate on Saturday, and out right after looking for more :woman_facepalming:t2:

She was being fed every 2 weeks, but I didn’t think that was enough? I’ve even been given a feeding schedule from a friend that’s every 2 weeks too…

So used to Royals

Boas digest a lot slower than most pythons, so they need fed less often. Once she reaches adulthood, you will only be feeding her once a month if you feed her a large meal.
