I definitely will say you need one 
She’s become my absolute favourite gecko… If I had room for 10 right now, I would!!

I know nothing about them. Do they ever lose their tails?
They can, but it’s very rare they do. Maybe a really nasty fight between a pair, but even then I’ve seen some battered pairs and still have their tails! Not common like cresties that’s for sure
