Mites! I need help

The chemical composition of Rid/Nix/and Prevent-a-Mite is exactly the same at the same concentration. It was going to be 5-7 days for the prevent-a-mite and I could get the Rid at Walgreens for $10. My vet is a reptile specialist so I do trust her. I am using an organic product in the rest of the house. Because we have cats and dogs too. She also recommended using a steamer in the room. For the window tracks and carpet. She is planning on seeing Maui on Tuesday to make sure he’s not dehydrated. She said warm soaks daily will be his best friend.

I should also add, we only have the one reptile. So we can move his small tank every day, treating the room behind him aggressively without exposing him to too many chemicals. If we had more reptiles, this would be a totally different process. He is less than 9 months old and under 200 g at his last visit. We can use less harsh measures and do more cleaning. She wants us to wash the tank with boiling water every day. Just keeping new paper and a clean tank will help break the cycle.

You must really have quite an infestation. I had around 10 snakes at the time……

Best of luck getting rid of the mites….
