Hey all! This girl was sold to me as gravel spark. I’m not well versed in morphs and wanted to confirm that was correct and maybe get an explanation on what that means genetically/visually? What would be best to cross her with in the future when she’s mature?
Thanks in advance!!

Gravel and spark are an allelic combo. Your snake is not.
This is a gravel spark ball python:
The snake you have was most likely sold as a gravel/spark. Which is gravel OR spark, not both. The two genes in a low expression look the same.
You would need to have your snake’s shed tested through a company like RGI’s to know which one is present.
I wouldn’t recommend breeding until you study up more on genetics and how they are passed on to the offspring. Also, learn to ID better for yourself. The Morphipedia is a great resource for learning about the mutations.
Sorry that your snake is not what you seem to have thought it was

Hey there. Looks like she is either gravel OR spark, not both. Both are incomplete dominant genes in the yellowbelly complex.
As for what to cross her with, if you decide you want to breed (I strongly suggest not breeding, because the market is already saturated) you need to figure out what genes and combinations YOU like and go entirely based on that.
