How come with some listings that involved freeways you see “yellow belly OR asphalt” would you have to prove it out on which it is?

I don’t know if this is accurate but maybe they are allelic maybe, or they are non-ID separable.

Yellow belly and asphalt are allelic, but are indistinguishable to most in the single gene form. When a freeway (yellowbelly AND asphalt) is bred, it is guaranteed to pass on one of those genes (yellowbelly OR asphalt). Since almost nobody is able to distinguish the two in the single gene form, offspring are often labeled as yellowbelly/asphalt when sold and will need to be proven as one or the other through breeding.
