It works pretty well, but I may need to get something soon thats actually made to sustain plants so I can have my lamp back its been serving my terrarium since 2023
Eh, clearly what you’re doing is working lol. I need to get some grow lights for things, including a small things and couple of large plants (like the ponytail palm which is roughly 4’ tall). Usually they’re in and out of the house all winter, but this year they’ve been much more indoors than out. I’ve given up on shifting them around, just need to get them some lighting.
I thought I was too but its been a huge learning curve of what works and doesn’t work. I found plants that worked for me and added more and the ones that didn’t just became food for the cleanup crew.
I think a big part of it was that I bought a pre-made soil mix specifically made for tropical terrarium setups and mixed in a bunch of stuff for the cleanup crew as well as worm castings, idk if the rest was luck or not lol.
