So I’ve just fed my BP and she was just over half way through eating and then spat it out and went off into her hide! What does this mean and should I remove the rat?

If it’s an appropriately sized meal, you can leave it for an hour or two. Most likely just having a moment. I wouldn’t be too concerned.

Yeah it’s the normal size she usually eats, she wasn’t interrupted or anything, it was like she just changed her mind 
thank you for your advice I will leave it in there for a while maybe she will change her mind again

How many feeds has it had with you?
Was it defrosted properly? Warmed enough? not too cold inside?
IS it a female or male? has there been any mating?
I have had both sexes strike and spit out if they do not want to feed. males for breeding season, females when too full with ovulation or gravid…

She’s a female and I’ve only had her 3 weeks, she’s fine, just spat it out and tried her again the next day with another and she ate it just fine, must have just not fancied it that night thanks for the info though!
