Despite the size difference she took care of business no problem. Anyone else keeping these? They are so elegant and awesome to watch

That’s really cool! Idk why I can do Jumpers, T’s and Wolf Spiders but Widows and Recluses kinda scare me a little bit, I guess its because they lack “fuzziness” 
Either way what an impressive takedown, she’ll be eating good!

Caroline is beautiful, I love her!
I adore black widows, definitely one of my favourite spiders to keep. They’re so graceful, and as you say, elegant. And voracious little predators. I had a beautiful female western black widow for several years, I found her as a juvenile in the bathroom at work. Sadly she passed away recently. That’s the bummer about most true spiders: short lifespans. Still, I think I had her for nearly 4 years, which is a long life for a widow. But widows are so fun, I’d love to have one again sometime.

incredible hunters. At first i was worried giving her this grasshopper as she is still in subadult stage and was considerably smaller but turns out it was no contest for her. She molted after this but I believe she still has one or two molts to go. Here’s the video
