Hello, this is my first post here at MM. I have my cornsnake Tang that will 21 years old in December, i got him days after he hatched from a local pet store. I chose him because i loved his colors but i have no clue on what his morph could possibly be. When i got him they just said he was an albino, he was the darkest orange of the orange ones and there were snow in there as well. Any ideas on what he could be?
He is great looking, especially for his age! @solarserpents @noodlehaus @caryl can hopefully help.
Tang is a handsome gentleman! I love that you’ve had him so long. He looks like a Butter, which is homozygous Amel + homozygous Caramel. Since he hasn’t got any belly checkers, he’s likely also homozygous for either Motley or Possibly Diffused with low expression for either. I’m guessing Motley, but it would be easier to tell if you take a picture of him from the top down.
Note that it’s possible to simply have no belly checkers and hand normal saddles. It’s not common, but it does happen.
Handsome fellow in any case. Welcome to both of you!
Beautiful old guy! Do you happen to have a baby pic? He’s either a butter or a really light amel. I think I do see some faint belly checkers, so I don’t think motley or diffused.
Welcome to the forum!
Sadly no baby pictures of him, i do have this top down picture of him from about 10 years ago when he escaped from his enclosure and i found him in my top desk drawer. Thats where i always find him when he gets out!
Cool senior corn. Looks like a butter.
I don’t know if I’m 21 in snake years, but I know I’m not 21 in human years and my eyes weren’t great at 21! If he’s got belly checkers, I missed them. Sorry. In that case, ignore all that stuff beyond Butter and listen to @solarserpents.
Too funny! Well, guess we all need a favorite place to escape to sometimes. Tang found his.
