My first clutch of the year!

Dayum! Really?

I believe so! Cindy layed about 19 and ember layed 22 making a total of 41 for me this year!

Those are great numbers!

Wow! How many times have these mamas been bred?

I’m unsure how many times Cindy has been bred but with me she has layed 2 clutches in total. And ember who I’ve had since a little hatching has now been bred twice! Her first clutch was actually a massive 28 egg clutch but unfortunately none of them made it so hopefully the outcome will be different this year!

I bet you wish you could whisper to her, “Please make fewer eggs, and put more resources into each one so they are healthier!”

That is a whole lotta eggs from two pairings! I hope that you’ll be super busy with hatchlings. :+1:

Here’s a quick update on the eggs!

Clutch #1
Cindy lay date - 7th May

Unfortunately 3 of her eggs don’t seem too great. One of them is slightly green and going mouldy another is dipping in and also has some mold and the other doesn’t appear to have any veins. But for the rest I’m able to see movement in a few!

Clutch #2
Ember lay date 17th may

And all of embers eggs seem to be doing great! All have good veins and shadows forming!

Some serious veins in that first clutch!

Looking good! I’m sorry that you don’t think that maybe a few look to be developing well. Most seem to be thriving!

So exciting! Must be such a jolt of excitement to see movement!

After checking on them today I don’t think it’ll be much longer until they hatch!

Cindy’s eggs are now on day 57 of incubation and the veins are starting to look a little fainter with strong shadows!

Unfortunately it looks like 3 potentially 3 of them have gone bad but all the others seem to be doing well!

Embers clutch is also doing extremely well too! The shadows in the eggs look massive and while candling them they were extremely active and moving around a lot!

Hopefully it won’t be too long now!

When you “candle” them do you turn off the lights in the room so it’s dark?

Yes I do! Especially since the room the eggs are in have a window right next to them so if I candle during the day it’s pretty hard to see anything

Ok thank you! I am hoping for some baby chameleon gecko eggs soon!:heart:
