I have a clutch of 13 eggs hatching. The cross is amel x tessera, no known hets. It was kind of an accident, but anyway. 2 out of 13 are waaay lighter and pinker than the others. One has grey eyes with a ruby pupil and light grey belly checks. The other has brown eyes and almost no belly checks. Do the parents have a het I didn’t know about? Hypo maybe?

Looks like the Tessera was het Ultra, as these appear to be Ultramels.

While there are many snakes floating around with unknown hets, the fact that one parent was Amel narrowed things down quite a bit. Congrats on the surprise!

One is being kept for sure (my daughter fell in love with it) the other may be for sale. They are literally just hatching today/yesterday though, so I need to get them feeding before posting them
By the way, I do want to sell the father (tessera apparently het ultra) because I was incorrectly told he was a female. He’s a great snake with a huge appetite

Sounds good. The toughest part for me is not bugging them too much until they’ve taken a couple of meals. 
Yeah, it’s tempting. Three of them took their first pinky tonight though! All three tesseras. I wonder if there is a correlation?
