Hi guys! Im looking for some name suggestions for my new crystal pinstripe banana ball python. I don’t want cutesie names like custard or anything like that, but I don’t want stuff like ‘titan overlord’ lol. I have 3 other reptiles, 2 tortoises (Hermes and swifty) and a crested gecko called obi (short for obsidian). Thanks in advance!

I usually name based on color presentation or behavior. My naming niche comes from minerals/gems/elements, characters from series I like or themes/songs.
Ex: My BEL female is named Opal, one of my Crested Geckos is named Caramel (song reference- but also based on the color of the gecko)
With that morph combo specifically my mind goes to Sulfur, Topaz, Basalt, Smoky (quartz), Pyrite, Granite.

I like to pick names from mythology and literature. I especially favour weirdly formal and old-fashioned human names for my pets, because I think it’s funny. Some of my pets’ names are:
Phoebe
Lenore
Mathilde
Aster
Philomena
Alastor
Ethel
Marjorie
(Ethel and Marjorie technically aren’t pets; Ethel is the false widow who lives in my car’s sideview mirror, and Marjorie is a wild tarantula who has her burrow along one of my favourite hiking trails. But I see them both frequently enough that they needed names.)
If I ever get more male critters, I’d love to have a Herold, Marlow, and Archibald. I’m starting to think my tarantula named Mathilde might actually be male, so maybe “she” will end up with one of those names if “she” gets confirmed as male.
