Hey guys, just got my first Madagascar hissing cockroach yesterday, and wanted to hear you guyses thoughts on a name.
I was thinking it could be a human name cuz that would be pretty funny (at least to me) but i want to hear other ideas of names for him.

The alien villain in the first Men In Black movie was a giant cockroach/mantis looking guy. He was wearing an ‘Edgar’ suit. So I would say Edgar.
Otherwise Izzy was the first name that popped into mind.

Gregor. After the main character in The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka (for those unfamiliar, it’s a novella about a man who turns into a giant insect; the species of insect is not given in the novel, as I recall, but it’s usually depicted as a cockroach in various artistic interpretations).

What fun suggestions! Now I want to name a random insect around the house. Hmm, how about Othello? Unusual, regal, temperamental so maybe hissy? Lol
Bob is always a classic. (Separate note, I just reread “A Street Cat Named Bob,” which if you haven’t read, you should. It’s a true story.)

The English lit geek in me still says that Gregor is the only appropriate name for a male cockroach…but Bob is pretty great too.
