Parthenogenesis at the Chattanooga Zoo

This is really cool.
The only two adult female Komodo dragons in Europe as of 2006 were in the UK. Both of which had laid without a male partner that year.

Flora, in Chester Zoo had never been kept with a male and laid in 2006 a clutch of 11 eggs.
She had been with the zoo since 1999 and sadly passed in 2013.

Sungai, from London Zoo hadn’t mated in 2½ years, yet laid 22 eggs the same year.
