NC Rule Change Alert Portal - Jan 27, 2022

It only takes a minute to submit comments to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission! Just do the steps below. Please note that anyone can comment but we really need the voices of North Carolina residents! Enter your North Carolina County and State when commenting. Please read through the below before completing. The deadline to comment/submit is January 31, 2022!

  1. Go https://www.research.net/r/WRCAnnualCycle and click NEXT.
  2. Fill out your name, County, State, and email address and click NEXT. (NC residents PREFERRED!)
  3. Click WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT PROPOSALS and then NEXT .
  4. Click H2 EXOTIC SPECIES and then NEXT .
  5. Click DO NOT SUPPORT and then NEXT (you may also enter a comment). Comment suggestions can be found at Alert: North Carolina Rule Changes | USARK - United States Association of Reptile Keepers.
  6. Click H4 IMPORTATION OF NATIVE REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS and then NEXT .
  7. Click DO NOT SUPPORT and then NEXT (you may also enter a comment). Comment suggestions can be found at Alert: North Carolina Rule Changes | USARK - United States Association of Reptile Keepers. You should also comment on one or both points with this or similar: As a North Carolina reptile keeper, I ask that NCWRC hold a stakeholder meeting to discuss these rule changes and current regulations before making a final decision. Since responsible herpetoculturists were not involved in this rule development, we should be included prior to any final actions to avoid unintended consequences.
  8. If you are finished, select “I’m Finished” at the bottom of the page and then click NEXT .
