So, I’ve been offered this male Retic, being sold as a SD with no lineage and the owner just says it was sold to him years ago as a 100% SD. He’s 8yo and approx 7ft. Can anyone help with confirm or deny the SD. Thank you

I can say my 62.5% Kalatoa SD is around 8ft @ 8 years.
Without a lineage there really isn’t a way to verify. They could be Kalatoa, but it may not and wanting to run a pure locality line is impossible.
If anything, you could refer to them as ‘old school’ because that was the generally accepted mixed locality term for now with older lines.
You might be able to check on Instagram with some of the SD circles there. There are some traits that the breeders working with pure lines can possibly tell apart.
I guess also depending on the cost you can try and figure if you’re working with a more commonly worked with locality.
