Not the best picture but I suspect Lesser Pastel Pin. Cannot guarantee that though

That was my guess too.

If you REALLY want to know, there’s always shed testing.

Definitely. But having an idea of what to test for is a great headstart too.

I’d much rather test for lesser and pastel vs like… Everything right off the bat. But some may just do the whole thing for hets and stuff too.

Do you know anything about the parents’ genes?

Nope, I got her from exotic pet store and I’m trying to figure out what she is so I can breed her

Unpopular advice, but advice I still give every time I see this type of post - You do not have to breed an animal just because it is there.

A HUGE part of this hobby seems to revolve around the MLM pyramid scheme mentality that you have to breed to be in this hobby. Entirely too often I see people breeding “just because” rather than putting actual thought into what they are doing/working toward and what the repercussions will look like

There is nothing wrong with just keeping a snake for the sake of keeping a snake. There is nothing wrong with spending the money to get a complete gene panel run on an animal before breeding it. If you are going to breed, you need to put real thought in to how you are going to to care for all of the babies you produce, how you will house them, how you will feed them, and how you will get rid of all the ones that you do not want to keep (and “I will just put them on MM and they will sell no problem” is not the correct answer)

I am not saying all of this to be a jerk. This is coming from my multiple decades of being in this hobby. I also freely admit that I do breed some of my animals. However, I have answered all these questions for myself and I know my limits and my boundaries

There is absolutely nothing wrong with going slow and taking your time. Learn your animals. Become a ‘student of the serpent’. After that, then think about whether or not you want to breed

Totally agree with @t_h_wyman. I was once an “accidental” boa breeder due to my idiocy and it was a mess. Included in my collection are 20 ball pythons. I gave one of my boys to a dear friend of mine who is a responsible breeder. He had a perfect match female for my boy so I did it to help him out and now I have a gorgeous multi gene little baby boy as a result of that pairing. No muss no fuss because my friend did all the work. And believe me breeding is a lot of work. I have no intention of breeding him, or any of my collection, myself.

One thing T H did not mention is a top priority of having a reputable exotic/reptile vet at the ready for such things as egg binding, problem feeders, humane euthanasia if needed, etc. As a matter of fact you should already have such a vet lined up since you own a reptile.
