Hello Everyone, My name is James. I am a new ball python keeper and potential breeder. I am working on building knowledge on the species and starting my collection and giving it a pathway to certain potential projects that I am very excited about. I also have my Beautiful wife (Samantha) that is also interested in keeping ball pythons of which she turned me onto! I used to keep a corn snake when I was young and she kept a ball python when she was young too. We both went on a hiatus from keeping snakes till after we met each other and got a home together, so then one day she mentioned keeping reptiles as a hobby that it could also be lucrative and maybe one day we wouldn't have to work our "ohh so wonderful jobs" anymore!! 😂 I was picking up on some sarcasm. Lol
After some researching and just looking into the care routine, feeding regimens, and wide variety of MORPHS they have to offer! I was instantly hooked! So for the first couple months after I found out that I definitely wanted to give this amazing hobby a go, I got right to looking for rack systems, substrate, thermostats...etc. when I got all my stuff I needed to care for these amazing snakes, I also started looking into what kinds of ball python morphs that was most appealing to me and my wife. She Loves the Piebald Morph and I loved the Clown Morph. As a base line Morphs I thought this was a good starting point for 2 new breeders, So we went to MorphMarket and our first Ball python is a Clown Morph that I bought at auction that was a (YB,Leopard,Clown het Piebald) Bred by: AMOS REPTILES. I also feel like I got an Amazing deal on this boy and Amos did an amazing job packaging and delivering and always replying quickly for any questions I had (Highly recommend).
The next ball python that we got is a Piebald female that we purchased from ROYAL CONSTRICTOR DESIGNS that was a (Coral glow, Enchi, Piebald) This Girl is Amazingly tempered and such a chill snake to have as a first time ball python owner. My wife picked this one and couldn't be any happier; such an amazing snake and also highly recommended purchasing from Garrick @ Royal constrictor designs. I had also got 2 OD Pieds from Craigslist that are sibling hatchlings 1 Male and 1 Female from a local breeder that was near me. My wife and I have been taking care of these ball pythons since October of last year and Loving every minute of it!! I am very confident that I will love this hobby through the good, the bad and the ugly. Hopefully nothing ugly, but being prepared isn't a bad thing. All in all I am Very happy to be apart of this community and look forward to years and years to come. I will post pictures of my 4 snakes down below.
Thanks for reading, James.
