[New Breeder] Questions regarding female egg laying behaviors

Hi!

I have a proven female (not her first year), I can tell she has egg bumps, but hasn’t laid yet. Recently this week, she has been digging in her lay box (30%perlite/70%peat moss) but still has not laid, this has happened 3 times in a row so far. Insemination date was around June 1, but we moved at the end of June and I figured that the stress might have disrupted her in some way. Her appetite is still good (just less than before June as expected). She’s currently on pangea breeder and fig&insects.

Just looking for some advice so that I can give her the best conditions and better understand this behavior.

It can take days for them to lay after they start digging, and they can reabsorb the eggs as well if they aren’t fertile. In my experience, moving will shorten their season drastically, i’ve only ever gotten 1-2 clutches, if any, after a move. So keep an eye on her and her bump, she might just be looking for the perfect spot before laying, or she might reabsorb them. If she doesn’t lay anything, it might be worth repairing her.
