Found this within my local breeders, which was id’d as a BL SHTCTB het RAPTOR
this is another one he produced
and another one
i tried asking on how many generations before he achieved this, cause it looks so cool, but he hasn’t responded yet. I don’t know if this is an existing tangerine line, but im pretty sure all of these are BL SHTCTB het RAPTOR, and I think he has been linebreeding them for a couple of years. BL probably meant blood line. I’m sorry I’m bit new in leopard geckos so I was curious. Thanks.

It looks like what they did was start working a very high quality black night line into a very deep SHTCTB line.
I don’t know how long ago they introduced the albino and eclipse genes in for the RAPTOR combo, but these animals are beautiful.
I haven’t really followed up on which breeders are working which projects lately, but I can tell that’s definitely a well thought out looking project with the animals shown.
Black Night projects really started picking up steam over the last 5 or so years as a few high quality animals began getting released to the general public. But a lot of the breeders involved earlier in with the project were pretty quick to get tangerines in to get that dark burnt orange look

Thanks, what should be the proper id of this gecko?

This breeder told me that there is no black night in the line
this was the 3rd generation, and considering that the both the 1st and 2nd generation are all BL SHTCTB het RAPTOR
while this is the 1st generation
he told me that 1st generation was unrelated, then for the 2nd generation, he did some selective breeding, and then the 3rd generation came out
this is one of his hatches this year
and this is another 3rd generation
his youtube is this https://www.youtube.com/@nexusexotics/shorts
So it could be an intense line of Blood Tangerine. I would still call the first a SHTCTB, I’m assuming that the BL may just mean Blood Line.
Still a gorgeous line of geckos if you’re looking for dark colors like this

Is this intense line of blood tangerine an existing line, or could be considered a new one? The breeder had asked questions to AZreptiles and ron tremper. I think he is trying to remove the baldy from the traits, and try to intensify the darkness of the jaw and feet of the leopard gecko, probably taking inspiration from az reptiles. And they sometimes lose so much of their darkness through age.

With this sort of thing there are so many lines now it’s hard to keep track of most. The most popular are just the easiest. And that will usually be the larger breeders.
If this breeder has been working this project for a couple generations/years then it is probably far enough along for them to cal it their own line of Blood crosses if that was the original line they were working.
