hello guys, hope to find you all well. These are my juvenile boas that I bought from a pet store. Can you please help me identify them please as I was told that two of them are salmon hypo boas and the other one a red tail boa. Can someone confirm please? and thank you for your time. (sorry for the image quality)
The salmon boa is just another name for hypo boas that are from the bloodline line of Rich Ihle hypo boas. The hypo genetic not only causes the reduction of the black pigments, it also makes colors clearer and more brilliant. There are lots of hypo bloodlines now. Summit is another good one.
Redtail boa is just a name pet stores use for all Boa Constrictors.
To be a true redtail boa, (BCC) it would have to be a pure Guyana, Suriname, Northern Brazilian, or a Peruvian boa, just to name a few.
Your first one looks to be just a BCI (Boa Constrictor Imperator) cross boa morph to me. Maybe jungle boa, PK stripe line boa, aberrant boa. There are a few other boa morphs that cause striping in the pattern. I am leaning more to the aberrant boa as I don’t see other markers I look for in jungle boas.
Your other two are Hypo boas, which is short for hypomelanistic boa. As for being salmon , only the breeder would know.

Thank you very much so the other two hypos should be bci too i guess? thanks again
Yes your 2 hypos are BCI. All morphs and hypos are BCI crosses with other localities. Most are BCI but more people are crossing BCC into morphs now.
Confirmed BCI than, thank you very much for the information provided and for helping out. Very much appreciated.
