What a cutie! They start out so little. He looks quite tame for a baby nile monitor.

Not yet my youngest daughter keeps saying his name is pancake. But I’m not sure I want to call him pancake so I’m sill thinking on some good names for him

I recently got the privilege of meeting a yellow headed monitor in person a couple weeks ago. First monitor I have ever been in contact with and he was a puppy dog! He was also a partho (clone of his mother without a male involved. She actually cloned herself)

That’s pretty neat….I think it’s how much time people put into them and you can get them puppy dog tame I know my Savannah monitor he is 3 foot and he is a big puppy dog but when I first got him he was meaner than a snake

I firmly believe that statement can apply to any animal. It obviously applies with yours. Kudos to you, max, for creating a trusting relationship with that sweet animal. I believe you can look forward to many years ahead of companionship with sobek.

That’s a handsome little guy, who’s going to quickly become a handsome big guy! Maybe you can make his middle name Pancake, lol. Kids have some interesting name choices, don’t they?
