Hi! I recently joined because I am reptile loverr and I am currently doing research on non-mammalian and mammalian pet owners (adults) and I was wondering if some reptile pet owners could do my survey, as I’m having trouble finding non-mammalian owners! I plan to prove that non mammalian pet owners have higher biology literacy scores compared to mammalian pet owners.

•Be very careful about some of those questions that lean into anthropomorphizing animals. It is not good to place human emotions on animals that may not have the capacity to feel or understand them and thus create an expectation in people and their pets that is not healthy for the animal.
It is important to us as pet owners to understand our animals as they are, not to pretend they are something they are not.

Here is my research question :Research Question: “In what ways does the expression of non-anthropomorphic empathy toward non-mammalian pets correlate with higher objective biology scores in adults compared to anthropomorphic empathy in mammalian pet owners?”.
