I know several others have already made threads like this, but I figured I might as well. This is my collection, from pets to breeders and holdbacks. Some are familiar faces, others might be not seen as often.
Starting off with Celia, my pet only problem child. She’s a little thin at the moment, however she’ll fill back out in no time:
In order, they are: Sienna, produced by South Mountain Reptiles. She’s Het Butter, 66% Pos Het Scaleless. Comet, my big normal boy I don’t often show off. Ducky, another normal, who was bred with Sienna this year and proved to be het amel. Finally, Sylvestris, Het Palmetto, Anery, Amel, Motley. She did not want to sit still so only one photo that came out okayish.
I put it off for quite a while, figured it was about time. It’s crazy how much variation you can get in wild types. They’re all quite unique. I’ve got more photos to upload after more chores, some of the snakes I’ve produced since I started out.
Two out of three of my 2022s, Keeper and Seeker (Cheeky was in blue). Both are siblings to the famous Leaky. These two were out of Chipmunk and Sienna:
Then some of the 2023s, Firecracker, Cherry Bomb, Skyrocket, Whirlwind, Horsetail, and Toph. All except Toph are out of Chipmunk and Pineapple. Toph is likely the offspring of Chipmunk and Azula:
I know, right?! They’re all grown now, crazy to think about!
She very much is. Absolutely spoiled, too.
Leaky’s story starts towards the end of the thread here, and continues here. Long story short, I had an egg start leaking pre-hatch date. Everyone was cheering the little one on. Made it to hatch with no issues. Now belongs to @lumpy, and has grown like a weed.
Nice!! Always good to see collections. The variation in classics is always fun to see, too. They’re all lovely, of course. I really like Comet’s borders. Nice to see Celia alive and well! Toph’s coloring is really intense!
Time for some more! First up we have more holdbacks. Sparkler (who was the sire of the Palmetto clutch), Joo Dee, Azulon, and Zuko (sire of the Snow clutch).
Then we have some of the outside acquisitions. These beauties came from @solarserpents (Barney, Oat, and Nod) & @caryl (Fiorella and Handsome). Nod has the unique distinction of having been produced by Olivia and sent on to me by Caryl, as she was a very stubborn feeder who did not really want to eat for anyone. Thankfully with a little quail egg and a whole lot of patience, she’s now eating (unscented) regularly.
Then there’s five of my six hoggies; Hazel, Swinub, Eevee, Diglett, and Togepi. The sixth, Wilbur, is currently in blue, so I’ll have to grab some photos of him at a later date. Hazel and Wilbur came to me via Olivia at the same time as Oat & Barney. Hazel was another problem feeder who has since become quite the glutton.
I truly didn’t know if Nod would ever eat willingly when she first got here. Now she’s always at the front of the bin looking for her fuzzy before I even open it at feeding time.
Nod’s eyes look as stunning as Chipmunk’s! Very impressive that you got her to eat when Olivia and Caryl struggled. That’s a feather in your cap! Quail egg is the secret sauce…
It was a battle of wills with her, I gave her one force feeding when she got here, then waited it out. It took 134 days and a quail egg dipped pinky to break the hunger strike. Actually, it could have been up to 196 days, as the feeding before she finally took one is listed as refused, and I didn’t mark down whether or not I force fed a second time. Either way, I out-stubborned her in the end.
