Noodles of '25

I am so behind on taking photos and such of all the little guys. I’ve mostly been focusing on getting them eating and the basics. Life happens and has kept me busy.

And more busy is going to be here soon~

This was an interesting result and I’m pleased so far!
Looks to be a Mojave Cinnamon.

Mom is a classic
Dad was a mystery BEL I took a gamble on.
Lesser and Mojave so all white, but darker than normal eyes. He also had a neat little white on white kind of pattern that looked sort of like a pied ringer.
So I assumed at the least he was cinny under the BEL because of his eyes.
But the parent pairing and his weird pattern did make me suspicious of him being a possible pure white urban camo.

So now I need to wait for all these little guys to climb out so I can get better looks at them. All 5 siblings look like they’re carrying cinny also.

A half sibling looks to be lesser without cinny, but it could be a lower expression cinny on lesser banana.
Another is pied and very high white so they’re both going to be wait and see babies too.

Photo of dad’s neat navy blue sort of eye color. He looks like a white BlkEL from a distance.

This little dingbat is proving me right in not wanting to create a drowning risk in an egg tub.

There isn’t enough water to perlite to cause an issue…I just never had one so determined to make it under like this one.

One clutch is out. The other 3 from a different mom (same dad) laid the same day are being lazy ones. I don’t blame them tho.

So cinnamon and pastel confirmed in this BEL dad. The other clutch seems to have possibly busted my super cinny thoughts. On the fence with if I see sandblast in one or two. It could just be the het pied influence on them.

It will be interesting seeing the color changes on a few of these as they shed out and grow.

Alright~
Here’s the half siblings to the last clutch.
The mom for this clutch is a simple banana het pied

That lesser pastel looks to be the only hatchling out of the 9 without cinnamon. So my thoughts on dad being a hidden super cinny have been busted. Still 8:9 is amazing odds.
I think sandblast might still be there so I’m currently IDing dad as Pastel Mojave Lesser cinnamon het pied possible sandblast

The white one I am pretty sure is a banana Mojave or lesser pied probable cinnamon. Leaning towards banana Mojave cinny pied because the eyes aren’t as micro as a banana lesser pied and the head doesn’t feel as elongated as they can get.

Post shed photos from the first mystery BEL clutch
They’re all cinnamon 50% het Pieds, but one has a ringer so that looks like the best bet for the het.

As for the rest of the genes… Here’s my current IDs:

Cinny mojave possible sandblast

Cinny mojave

Pastel Cinny Mojave

Cinny Lesser sandblast

Pastel Cinny Lesser possible sandblast (ringer)

Cinny Lesser Sandblast

The downside would mostly be I would have far too many BELs hatching and not as colorful clutches in the future. XD

Although next year should hopefully be some fun clutches too. My first BEL and her sister should be ready next year to pair up. I just need to figure out what I might want to go for more. After my last 2 clutches hatch I should have a better idea of possible holdbacks and can consider planning pairs up for next year after that.

Just a couple from my last 2 clutches. Sometimes it’s wild how much a pattern can change because of one or two genes and how much color changes in just the first week.

Cinnamon Pastel het axanthic pos pied
Fairly certain the only difference is one has sandblast. Possibly the het pied influence interacting with the sandblast as well.

These little ones have just been getting so much color. It’s part of why some breeders are very confused with some clutches. Cinnamon and black pastel could look so pale and axanthic like when they hatch. The color takes a bit.
