This boy was from a normal female to an albino pinstripe male. The male was surrendered as a juvenile to a local serpentarium a few years ago when we adopted him. We think the male may have some yellow belly and or orange dream based on the clutch.
Nice clutch. They just look normal and pinstripe to me. Because it was paired to Albino, the het Albino may be influencing their pattern a little, but there is nothing else jumping out to me as an additional morph in their appearance.
The first picture shows a he has a yellow belly. It’s not the picture he really does have a yellow hue on the belly. Can that just happen with normal sometimes?
Yes, that can happen. With a true Yellowbelly, there is alot more checkering along the sides of the belly. Ill post a pick of one of mine here in a minute to show what I mean
Ok cool. Yeah a comparison would be good for anyone else who sees this as well. I’m familiar with the typical expression in yellow belly. Are some very low expression in yellow belly?
I would say if the expression is so low that you have to question it, it isn’t YB. Here is an example of a YB where the side flames are obvious and the checkering or pixilation of the sides scales along the belly scales are prominent. If the flames or pixilation is not obvious, it isn’t YB. It doesn’t have to be as deep as this example, but it still has to be present. One other item is YB usually have an overall more golden color to their patterning.
Side Flames
Side belly scale checkering or pixilation
Ok yeah, I see. Thank you, I really appreciate the clarification.
