Northern BTS Custom Enclosure

Made this enclosure out of an old zen habitat and a little bit of spare glass. It’s definitely missing some deeper substrate, I plan to add that in soon, I was just working with what I had on hand at the time. Here’s some pics of the enclosure and some of Rosie using it.

She’s utilized absolutely every inch of this enclosure. I see her climbing even though there’s plenty of pathways to get across the enclosure without climbing, I see her sleeping under most every piece of decor, there’s not a bit of the space not used on an almost daily basis.

The more I work with blue tongued skinks, the more I kinda feel like they would do much better with a space larger than the standard 4x2x2. Just based on the behavior I’ve seen from Rosie. I will likely upgrade her to something larger when I have the funds.

Man other than the deeper digging substrate you mentioned, this looks like BTS paradise to me! How fun to get to see her use all the space you give her!

Nice interior / substraint in the cage for your BTS. I would just be worried about the taped ends on the cage. Would hate for Roise to escape.

If you need some cage prints, here is a link to my EZ Cage prints.

The tape was really just for extra security so there was no chance of her wiggling her way out. It stands completely fine without the tape, it’s not holding anything together, I just noticed a little bit of a gap and wobble between the glass and the slot it’s in, and I’ve had an escape before from her through a gap I didn’t expect her to be able to fit through, so I just wanted to take any precautions I could. Looked at those enclosure plans, those look wonderful, definitely could put those to good use at some point.
