Sadly, last night I received a call that Iam no longer employeed, their having to make cuts etc since I hadn’t been there a year yet, guess my job wasn’t salvageable? (2 1/2 months shy of being there a year) I had the deposit, caryl was more than willing to hold him for me and I had already made up my mind that I wanted to adopt him, then that call came in and I just threw my phone! Yes,I could certainly wait for my tax refunds to come in sure, but we have 7 lizards already the amount we spend in just crickets and quencher :eyes: already lol BUT Iam really really hoping that he is still with her by the time I’m back working and getting paid, cause I have fallen so in love with that baby,I saved all of his pictures from MorphMarket and Im worried he may get adopted before I have another chance to be the one to adopt him, like the feelings I get when looking at his pictures is the same feelings I get with my Beardie boy Sunny,I need that little noodle :sob::sob:

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear that. I got laid off during the pandemic, so I very much empathize with what a gut-punch it is to lose your job through no fault of your own.

Hopefully you’ll be able to find another job soon and your plans for your corn snake can move forward. A few years back, I was making plans to buy one of my dream snakes, had saved up money, was starting to buy supplies…and then my life circumstances suddenly changed, and I was no longer in a good position to be getting a new animal. But a year later, I was finally able to get the snake I’d been wanting. It was totally worth the wait, and it will be for you too. Sometimes stuff happens, plans have to get put on hold, but that’s just life.

That’s too bad Reba! I know you were excited. But don’t despair because if that one sells there will be plenty of others! Caryl will have oodles of noodles after all her clutches produce this spring and I am sure will see more that you like!

And I pray you will find another job soon!:heart:
