I have a lovely clutch of amel and Ultramel corn snakes from a reverse okeetee mother and a non-okeetee (as far as I’m aware) father. I’m not listing them as okeetee, but I was wondering if someone who is more of an expert could tell me if these would qualify. They are 2 week old hatchlings. Here’s a few of them.
Someone else will come along to answer your question but my those babies are really pretty!
Pretty! Congrats. The third and fourth ones maaaaybe have thick enough borders to call them Okeetee (phase). But I probably wouldn’t.
They are cool! I agree that a few are borderline. But I would label them all as “from okeetee lineage” or something to that effect.
Thank you all who replied! I am very happy with this clutch (19/20 eggs hatched, all but one eating, genetic tests came back 13 females, 5 males, and 1 tbd)
Those stats are fantastic! I imagine you are happy with so many females right?
Yes! Made it hard to decide which to keep
Congratulations on a nice, big, healthy clutch of pretty babies!
I’m agreeing that I would not label those as reverse Oketee. Their borders aren’t especially wide now, and borders typically get a bit thinner as they grow into adulthood.
This is a great idea.
I bet!!!
