Oniscus asellus “Mardi Gras” with a “wild type” head

Loving this oddball. Not sure if “paradox” is the right word to use when it comes to isopods.

That is awesome looking! Can these be crossed to O. asellus “BC Maple”? To create an orange Dalmatian sort of asellus? These guys have been catching my eye lately, and am curious if it is a Dairy Cow + Orange Laevis deal and they can’t be crossed, or if you can produce Orange Dals like scabers?

There has been one orange spotted Mardi Gras (that I’ve seen on the web) I’m not sure if it was the cross between the two or a genetic anomaly.

I’ve also thought of this as it sounds like a fun project and if it’s anything like the orange spotted one I saw it’ll be a big hit.

Nice. If you end up attempting the cross, let us know! That will probably be my main focus this next year, as I have gotten a few crazy anomalies in my cultures and an Orange Mardi Gras would be the bomb :fire:
