Retics are just beautiful snakes! And that is an excellent example!

Oh wow, he is stunning. What morph(s) is he? I’m still learning retic morphs.

I thought he might be a purple albino. Definitely one of my favourite retic colours, and in my opinion one of the prettiest albinos of virtually any reptile. I hope to have a purple albino super dwarf sometime in the not-too-distant future. I love the way they almost seem to glow. Your boy is a gorgeous example.

My favorite retic morph is the tiger purple phase albino.

Do these morphs lose their iridescence? Don’t get me wrong some of the morphs are cool, but i think the whole rainbow iridescence with the gold patterns was what made reticulated pythons special in the 1st place.

Albino retics don’t have that same intense, oil-slick kind of iridescence that darker-coloured morphs have, but they still have a bit of a sheen to them. Plus their colours are often so bright and vibrant that they almost seem to glow, which is what I love about them. It doesn’t always come through in photographs, but in real life it’s absolutely stunning.
