Hi, I have a few females I am looking to maybe pair with a male, I have a Female Tremper Albino, Hypo Tangerine, and a female Bell Albino. What male can I get, do I need to get the same morphs to breed to them?
The three types of leopard gecko albinos are not compatible. You would need Bell for Bell and Tremper for Tremper. Crossing them would give you normal looking offspring that are double het for the two strains. It’s generally looked down on as well by many breeders cause that can cause issues with surprise hets or assuming the one instead of the other strain in future clutches.
Ideally for the super hypo, another low patterned gecko is ideal. A good quality Raptor or Radar would be fine since they will also be a line bred for less pattern And would also still work for one of the albino females. Super Hypo and the ‘tremper patternless’ are both line bred traits. They can’t be passed down via hets. Breeding a super hypo to a gecko with markings will result in a mix of offspring with most falling between the two parents. You might get lucky and hit a couple of typos or super hypos though.
Do remember that the leopard gecko market is oversaturated so it can be hard finding homes for all of the offspring. Also make sure to have an exotic vet nearby before breeding. That way you aren’t hunting for one if there’s a breeding issue.
