Pastel Sugar Mojave het Ghost x Pastel Butter Enchi Pinstripe Ghost - What is he?

Breeder is certain this little guy is pastel sugar minimum, and I think he has more going on for sure. Any ideas?

I was also thinking probably pinstripe, glad I’m not alone lol. Can you tell me what makes you think mojave and visual ghost? I’d have probably though butter before mojave. I’m on the fence on whether I think he’s visual for ghost - the greys on the head have me hopeful, but some areas on his body seem pretty dark.

Thanks!

Butter will tend to lean really light colored in that combo as babies. They don’t gain a lot of yellow like that until they’re older.

Mojave also tends to get a more toothy looking dorsal with pinstripe.

The yellows at the tail are so bright I would be surprised if they weren’t hypo. The way to tell at home is on the next shed, check for pattern. The dorsal should be very visible on the shed. If it’s very pale or non-existent, you have a ghost :ghost:

Here’s pinstripe calico pastels, the difference is Mojave and butter

Wow, that really is a big difference! Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I’ll definitely look and see if there’s any pigment on the next shed, I forgot that’s something you can do with ghosts! I’d be really happy if that were the case since I’m using ghost in my current projects - he’s for sure a het of course, but we love bumping up odds with a visual. :yum:

Now to watch and see how he colors as he grows - with how he looks now, I think he’ll get a good bit of white on him from the sugar/calico!

Delicious is right! Think we should pick a name just as yummy… How about Donut? :drooling_face:

Yes that’s a “sweet” name! I also like Cinnamon Roll. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Good luck with the projects! I’m going to be waiting a bit for one of my ghost holdbacks from this year to grow.

I also approve of food based names. Hahah

Update time, the little guy shed!

It’s faint, but there’s definitely a little bit of pattern on the shed;

What are your thoughts? Just a het?

Here’s a fresh Strudel for tax!
