I am looking at a mojave phantom/mystic … what would you pair to it to prove phantom or mystic or are you under the belief that they are the same gene?
Examples if you have them !

I believe they are different like cinny and black pastel. But they behave similar in combos like cinny and black pastel lol. I personally work with mystic and wouldn’t trust myself to identify mystic from phantom. But I’m sure there are plenty of people who could distinguish them from one another in single gene form. I would think it would be easiest to tell apart in single gene form.

Yeah I have a single gene mystic but that’s it and no phantom lol.
I also tend to think they’re the same and have been used interchangeably enough that it would be difficult to get an accurate ID. Don’t have much experience with either, but this is my GHI Phantom Cinnamon pos. Nanny.

I actually believe the half inverse. I think they are (marginally) different but that it is more often than not the combos that help to differentiate them - e.g., if you put a dozen Passions with a dozen Potions in a bucket together, you would be able to sort them out

What are you using to differentiate them by(ie color or pattern)? I haven’t seen a lot of purple passion in person but they looked pretty identical to mystic potion.

I very strongly believe they’re the same morph. Every single morph is going to vary a little bit between individuals, but that doesn’t mean they’re not the same morph. I don’t think comparing them (and other similar morphs) to cinny/bp is fair, because those two are actually consistently different. They are similar, but it’s still easy to tell them apart. Morphs like Mystic/Phantom, Butter/Lesser, Mahogany/Cinder/Copper may have minor differences among themselves (natural variation), but you can’t tell them apart like you can cinny/bp
